Orban Exhibits at IBC 2010
Scottsdale, AZ September 16th, 2010 — Orban, a worldwide leader in audio processing for AM, FM, TV, and Internet broadcasting, displayed their full product line of new and existing Optimod audio processors to the attendees of the 2010 International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam, September 9th-14th. Orban's new flagship processor, the Optimod-FM 8600, and the new Optimod-TV 8685 for 5.1 and 7.1 Surround Sound, were key attractions in the exhibit booth at this annual event. The new Orban-FM 5500, which replaces the 2300 and 5300 for budget-conscious stations, was also on display.
To demonstrate the new Optimod-TV 8685 with HD/SDI together with the Penteo Upmixer, Orban had a special soundproof demonstration room which was equipped for 5.1 surround sound with the Focal CMS 40 powered speaker system. Those who listened to the surround processing for ultimate loudness control, conforming to ITU BS 1770, were thoroughly impressed. The combination of the 8685 and Penteo was acknowledged by listeners as the best upmixing and audio quality they had ever heard.
Orban Vice President of European Operations Peter Lee, European Customer and Technical Support Manager Peter Van Beusekom, and members of Orban's Ludwigsburg, Germany support staff were on hand to answer questions and conduct demonstrations. Orban has retained the same booth exhibit location for next year's IBC 2011.
